2019 CEF SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS

The winners of the 2019 Cheshire Education Foundation scholarships were honored at a reception on June 5th. CHESHIRE EDUCATION FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS ANNOUNCED

Winners of the 12 scholarships administered by the Cheshire Education Foundation were announced at the Cheshire High School awards night ceremony May 21. The scholarship recipients and their parents will be honored by the foundation’s board of directors at a reception June 5th in the Dodd Library.

“The mission of the Cheshire Education Foundation is to enhance the educational experience of students in Cheshire public schools,” said Jane Leukart, CEF chair. “Helping a group of graduating seniors each year to continue their educations is one of the most important things we do.”

CHESHIRE EDUCATION FOUNDATION SELECTS FIFTEEN SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS FROM RECORD NUMBER OF APPLICANTS

Fifteen graduating seniors from the Cheshire High School class of 2018 will share $32,000 in scholarships administered by the Cheshire Education Foundation. The winners were announced May 15th at the Cheshire High School Awards Convocation. The students and their families will be honored at a reception in June at the Dodd Middle School library.

NEW STUDENT AMBASSADOR JOINS CHESHIRE EDUCATION FOUNDATION BOARD

he board of the Cheshire Education Foundation has a new student ambassador from the Cheshire public schools. Ananya Gulati, a junior at Cheshire High School, has started attending the CEF monthly board meetings to help connect the charitable foundation with the student population.

“I like being involved,” said Ananya. “I like learning about how much goes on behind the scenes in the work that the education foundation does with scholarships and other programs.”

INAUGURAL CHESHIRE TRIVIA CHALLENGE IS A SELLOUT FOR MARCH 3RD

So many teams have signed up for the first annual “Cheshire Trivia Challenge,” that the event scheduled for Saturday night March 3rd at the Cheshire Parks and Recreation Center has sold out. Twenty-five teams of four people each will match wits to win prizes, while helping the Cheshire Education Foundation raise money that will fund scholarships and learning enhancements for students in the Cheshire Public Schools.

FIRST STUDENT AMBASSADOR JOINS CHESHIRE EDUCATION FOUNDATION

For the first time in its 22-year history, the Cheshire Education Foundation has a student ambassador from the Cheshire Public Schools.  Shivani Padhi, a junior at Cheshire High School, attended her first CEF meeting last week.  

“We are excited to have Shivani serve as our first student ambassador,” said Jane Leukart, chair of the Cheshire Education Foundation.  “Having her meet with us regularly will help connect our foundation board directly with the Cheshire student population.”
