CHESHIRE EDUCATION FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS TO BE HONORED JUNE 3RD

CHESHIRE, CT May 27, 2026- The Cheshire Education Foundation will honor the winners of its 2026 scholarships and their families at a reception June 3 at the Cheshire High Commons. The Education Foundation administers 12 annual scholarship programs to assist highly qualified Cheshire High School seniors with their college expenses.

In the past five years the Cheshire Education Foundation has administered scholarship programs with a combined value of over $200,000.

Committees organized by the Cheshire Education Foundation review the applicants and select recipients for each of the scholarships. “One of the most important things we do each year is to help these deserving seniors continue their educations,” said Derek Gromko, chair of the CEF board of directors. “Our mission is to enhance the educational experience in the Cheshire Public Schools and to create opportunities for our students.”

“The Cheshire Education Foundation scholarships support our graduates, and they inspire our current students to pursue their dreams upon graduation from Cheshire High School,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Jeff Solan. “The Cheshire Public Schools are fortunate to have such an incredible partner in supporting our students during their public-school education.”

The Cheshire Education Foundation has contributed well over $1 million in private funds to enhance the programs and offerings of the Cheshire Public Schools since 1995.
